Sassy's first hair cut

I think I might as well re-name this blogg "Sassy's Life" because that is all I seem to write about these days.... Anyway, Sassy went to the groomer for the first time today and she looked so cute with a little butterfly in her hair! You might be thinking- "Wait, that picture isn't of Sassy". Well, yes, that would be right. In order to show you a picture, I had to dress up her dolly because she had shaken out her bow in less than an hour after getting home. Ah well.

Sassy on YouTube

Jackie put some videos of Sassy on youtube. Click on the title "Sassy on YouTube" to link over to see her.

Great trip!

Last week Patrick and I went to Colorado for a visit. We didn't get to go home for Christmas, so it was great getting to see all the friends and family- if only for a little while. Everyone loved little Sassy- she is definitely the new favorite family member!

So many toys, so little time...

Little Sassy is doing so well. We are about 90% potty trained and getting more spoiled by the day. She already gets to sleep in bed with us, and she has been pretty much going everywhere with me- even to work! She has so many little toys, sometimes it's hard to choose!

Hummus Among-us

I really like hummus because It is a nice healthy alternative to other dips. I used to buy it in the grocery store in Colorado, but I haven't been able to find it here in Tennessee. I decided I would make my own- and it actually didn't turn out too bad.

Recipe:
1 can chick peas drained
1 TBS olive oil
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup chopped sun dried red peppers (sun dried tomatoes would work well too)
tobasco sauce to taste.

Blend it up in the blender and eat up!

The good thing about hummus is that you could essentially make it any flavor you wanted. This was just the first combination I tried.

Big Snow Storm

There was a BIG Tennessee snow storm yesterday. I woke up to the radio giving reports of the mass chaos on the roads created by the snow. Semis were overturned, SUVs were going in the ditches, cars spinning out left and right- driving was near impossible they said. Then they started listing the school closings- Cheatham county schools closed, Davidson, Montgomery, Dixon counties all closed too.
My boss called me from work warning me that it might be a difficult night at the store because we had had 2 associates call in because they lived on a hill and couldn't get to work because they were unable to drive down the street. The news on TV was strongly suggesting that if it was at all possible to get to the store for food and supplies, people should do so because the snow and bad weather was expected to last all weekend.

"Oh my goodness!" I was thinking. I was not sure what to expect to see when I looked out the window. I was worried because Patrick had already left for work and I was hoping that he made it alright.
