Well where do I sleep?

Sassy decided that my pillows were a great place to lay and went from lying on one little corner to taking up the whole thing while I was in the bathroom. She didn't seem to mind that that left nowhere for me to sleep!

New pictures from Iraq

As the fifth anniversary of the Iraq war comes and goes, TV and radio talk shows are all a buzz with "experts" giving their opinions of the war and if we should stay or go, and every candidate claims their "way of change" is the best for us all. As for those of us actually living through it? He's still there, and I'm still here- nothing changes that- the rest is just static.

What?! No comments?!

Come on people! It is a dog in a PINK SOMBRERO!!! More people don't have something to say about that?! Have I gone so crazy with the dog clothes that it is just expected now that Sassy will be in some sort of cute outfit? No comment required? Really? Have I gone so far over the line with puppy ensembles that even my little Sassy dressed in ethnic attire has become everyday? Should I begin to be concerned about my own mental health? You've got me worried people!

Family Ties

Many people, including myself, have commented that Patrick doesn't really look like either of his parents. I struggled to find the family resemblance on both the Baird or Martinez families for awhile- that is, until I saw this picture. This is a side by side picture that I framed for Patrick's Grandpa Pat for his birthday. Grandpa Pat was born on March 17th, and named Patrick (or Patricio in Spanish) after Saint Patrick. My Patrick, was named after him. They both served in the Army and have similar temperaments. One thing you can't see is the widow's peak- Grandpa Pat has the same one as Patrick hidden under that hat! Hopefully he will like his gift- I liked putting it together for him.

Time for change

As the time changes, so does the blog. It was time for an update for spring. Hope the new colors don't throw you off. No worries- I'm still the same (perhaps just a little sleep deprived, that springing back killed me!) hehe (not really- I just slept until 12 instead of 11) hehe (and yes, I'm serious)

At the Car Wash

Sassy and I took went through the car wash today. We don't have to clean the car much here in Tennessee because it rains so much, so this was her first time through the washer. I expected her to bark and bark, but she was more scared than anything. Poor baby! At least after it was all finished, she got to ride home with her face out the window of a clean car!

Winner of Project Runway

Another season of Project Runway has come to a close. I normally have a favorite, but this season I didn't really. I liked the collections of all of the last three designers- but I did have a feeling that Christian would win. He is a very talented individual, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of him in the future. I am a little sad that it is all over, because now I don't know what I am going to watch!

Gotta have her Starbucks!

It was a nice day today, so Sassy wanted to go see her friends at Starbucks. We had a nice time sitting outside and talking to the people who went by. She's always a big hit!

SavvyStyle goes to the show

I had a lady call me out of the blue yesterday offering me a free booth space at a baby and mom show today (she had a cancellation and was looking to fill the space.) Well, $700 worth of free advertising wasn't something I could pass up, so I said yes without thinking about the fact that I would only have about 4 hours to put together a booth from scratch. This is what I came up with- not too bad for 4 hours!
