I am sitting at Kinoks right now trying desperately to reach the outside world. It seems my computer is injured horribly and is better left for dead. I am very sad, both at the loss of my good frind MacBook, but also at the horrible pang that is the expense of a new computer. Needless to say, I will not be blogging for a few days. Feel free to call me and console me in my sorrow.
Till the next time-

Will the real Sassy please stand up?
Like all children, Sassy's favorite toys are the ones that look like her- her "Dollies", if you will, receive quite a bit of love. You will notice that all three of her Dollies have various parts missing: eyes, bows, noses- all showing obvious signs of attention. Now, the funny thing is- I only really gave her ONE of these doggies to be her toy- the other two were actually gifts given to ME that she happened to find in the house and claimed as her own. So which is her favorite? Well, she has interest in all of them, but much like Goldilocks, she finds that one is a bit to big for flinging about, one is a bit to small for serious biting, but the one in the middle is "just right"! Her original "Dolly" will probably always be the favorite (and as you probably will notice too- will also be the dirtiest!)

Night on the boat
Last night my ladies social group went on the General Jackson boat. A radio station was doing a special promotion, so we got to ride for only $10! It was a beautiful night and the weather couldn't have been better. I ended up meeting an Elvis impersonator and giving him career advice- (don't ask how I get in these situations- it just seems to happen!) I had lots of fun with the ladies I went with and was sad when it was time for the cruise to end.

New Job
Career update: After months of issues with the BR, I have finally moved on. Because of SavvyStyle, I got a phone call offering me a position as the personal shopper for a department store! Belk is a nice store based here in the South- think better than Dillards, not quite Nordstorm's. So far, it is great and I sure am enjoying being responsible only for myself! Plus, I only work 3 days a week. My own business is going well too- I have been averaging about 3 clients a week and am doing a bit better than I had originally predicted. I do also have an interview next week with the new Burberry store opening in town, so by next week at this time I may end up with 3 jobs- hard work never hurt anyone, right?

As requested- more pictures of Brandon!
Bi-athalon
Sunday I did a beginner bi-athalon. It was a 2 mile run, 10 mile bike ride, then another 2 mile run. I am not a very good runner, so my goal was just to run the first two, then walk the second two. I did almost did that (I walked for about 1/10 mile) and probably would have been able to run more than that had it not been so hot (100 degrees when I finished!) Although I felt I did alright- I still ended up finishing 2nd to last! It didn't get me down though- I figured I was still way ahead of those who hadn't even gotten out of bed yet! I'll keep training and maybe I'll do better next time.
Check out this link if you would like to see some pictures of me at the event.

Meetup.com
Well, after deciding that I needed I better social life, I came across this thing on the web called Meetup.com. It is basically a social network for anything and everything for any city you can think of. You can join a meetup for pretty much anything you are interested in and find like minded individuals to go do things with. I discovered it awhile ago, but just recently started being active in the groups I found in order to make new friends. Tonight I went to a happy hour meet up with the "Nashville Hip-Chicks". I had a really fun time and met some cool people that I will probably hang out with again. I totally suggest this to everyone who is looking to expand their social circle- you never know who you'll find who is a lot like you!

SavvyStyle on the Web!
I seemed to have neglected to tell you all that I have a website now for the business. There are a few little kinks on it still (such as the links on the home page) but it actually turned out pretty good I think. I actually need some help from all of you- I need you all to look at it and look at it often- set it to your home page even- just as long as you log into it a time or two a day. See, I guess what happens is that the more people click on your site, the higher up on the Google Search list it goes. So, as of now, my site is basically unknown, but if you all help me out by just visiting it daily, I should shoot to the top! Thanks so much everyone!

Sex and the City
I'm back- but this time, as an Aunt!
Well hello there. I have been gone for a few weeks (you may have noticed) in CO for the birth of my little nephew Brandon Michael Baca. I am so excited to finally have him here and I had a wonderful couple of weeks getting to know him. Sassy and I had a wonderful time visiting all of our family and friends too! We are both glad to be back in TN, and between traveling with Patrick, being out of town for work, and being in CO for the baby, I feel like I haven't been home in weeks! Time to get back to real life- and to BLOGGING! hehe
