When you are as small as Sassy, big things- like mailboxes, are very intimidating. It is necessary to bark at them so they know you are not to be messed with.
I don't blame Sassy. That thing would threaten me. It's one thing to have a house that looks like a hotel, it's another to have a 1000 sq. ft. mailbox.
